The faithful reproduction of the Manuscripts and Drawings by Leonardo da Vinci, is obtained by exclusive printing methods and a process performed entirely by hand. This process is reserved for prestigious works such as rare books and ancient manuscripts. Due to its beauty and 100% faithfulness to the original codices the edition presented here is of great intrinsic value and its quality far exceeds that of the best art reproductions.
The editions include critical and philological comments by some of the greatest scholars of Leonardo.

Binding and finish

Giunti's artisan workshop is one of the few still remaining where works are put together by hand, one at a time. Thanks to their knowledge and experience, our craftsmen guarantee works that are identical to the original ancient manuscripts and-seure binding is executed by hand using the traditional methods that prestigious art reproductions of this kind deserve.

Hand numbering

All the codices collected in the Manuscripts and Drawings of Leonardo da Vinci limited edition and its respective certificate are numbered by hand and bear the stamp and authenticated signature of a notary.

Gold on fine leather

Every work for sale is bound in soft velvety leather. The hide is scrupulously inspected by careful eyes to ensure that only pieces worthy of the pages they are to protect are used. As a final mark of distinction, the finest gold leaf is then impressed by hand on the spine using a system of hot stamping.

Stringent quality control

Each facsimile is carefully checked, page by page. The ancient codices are reproduced exactly from every point of view including materials, printing and make up.
